All services and activities at Westwood are cancelled for Sunday, February 7th.

Since we can’t be together, make sure to have fun in the snow!  Send me a picture/pictures of your fun and I’ll post it on the Youth Blog.

Also, check your email around 5:30 PM tomorrow (right before the game) for this year’s Super Bowl quiz.  Send back your answers before kick-off and you’ll be eligible for a fabulous prize!

See you soon!

Tonight’s Youth Progressive Dinner & Party

Is Postponed to Sunday Night!

Our Progressive Dinner & Party scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to safety concerns with the winter storm that is hitting our area now/this afternoon & evening.

Instead, we will enjoy our Progressive Dinner at the church tomorrow night at 6 PM. (You do not have to dress up. Please come even if you didn’t sign up for the original progressive dinner.) We’ll also have our gift exchange tomorrow night as well as hear a special message on encouragement and hope from our guest speaker, Nikki Tota.

Please note:

* As of now, our Sunday services and activities are still scheduled to take place as normal. If there are changes to our schedule, they will be posted on the church website and recorded on the church answering machine tomorrow morning. As Pastor Jim always says, “Use common sense in making your decision about your attendance.”

Help Haiti

We are collecting money at Sunday Night Live! through the end of January to go to Living Water International’s response to the earthquake in Haiti.  LWI is an organization that we have supported in the past as a youth group.  Watch the video and click on the ‘Help Haiti’ banner to see how our donations will be used.

The Youth Progressive Dinner & Christmas Party

This Saturday Is Cancelled!

Our Progressive Dinner & Christmas Party scheduled for tomorrow night has been cancelled due to safety concerns with the winter storm that will hit our area tomorrow. With at least several inches of accumulated snow (and possibly much more), low temperatures, and high winds forecast for tomorrow afternoon/evening, we feel it is prudent to cancel.

Some things to note:

  • We plan to survey our cooks/hosts and reschedule the Progressive Dinner for some time in January. Look for more information about that in the coming weeks.
  • As of now, our Sunday activities are still scheduled to take place as normal. We will move our Christmas Party and gift exchange to Sunday during Sunday Night Live! We will access the weather situation tomorrow and Sunday and let you know of any changes.

Since we can’t be together tomorrow night, make sure to have fun in the snow! Send me a picture of your fun and I’ll post it here!
